  4.     You can use this module to query desired User account information on
  5.     one or more users depending on your search criteria. You can search
  6.     for active or inactive accounts, accounts using a specific shell,
  7.     accounts assigned to specific office locations, etc. Once your query
  8.     is successful, you can then modify the accounts, monitor the
  9.     accounts, print the account configurations, or send mail to the
  10.     marked users.

  12.     This window gives you the ability to search for information about
  13.     the user which otherwise might be tedious and time consuming to
  14.     gather. The rest of this section describes the functionality of this
  15.     window's fields and buttons.

  18.     Fields
  19.  
  20.     This window contains the following fields.

  22.     User names
  23.  
  24.     You can use this field to specify one or more user names will be
  25.     used in the search criteria. Multiple user names may be entered, but
  26.     must be separated by spaces.

  28.     Group names
  29.  
  30.     You can use this field to specify one or more group names will be
  31.     used in the search criteria. Multiple group names may be entered,
  32.     but must be separated by spaces.

  34.     UID between ... and
  35.  
  36.     You can use these fields to limit the range of the User IDs in the
  37.     search criteria. This data must be numeric. When Enlighten performs
  38.     the search, user accounts whose UserID is less than or greater than
  39.     the respective values are ignored.

  41.     GID between ... and
  42.  
  43.     You can use these fields to limit the range of the Group IDs in the
  44.     search criteria. This data must be numeric. When Enlighten performs
  45.     the search, user accounts whose GroupID is less than or greater than
  46.     the respective values are ignored.

  48.     Home dirs.
  49.  
  50.     You can use this field to find all users whose home directory
  51.     matches this search criteria. Multiple directory names may be
  52.     entered, but must be separated by spaces.

  54.     The standard UNIX wild cards `*', `[]', and `?', along with the
  55.     negation operator `!', can be used in this field (e.g., /home/*).

  57.     Shell(s)
  58.  
  59.     You can use this field to find all shell programs which match this
  60.     search criteria. Multiple shell names may be entered, but must be
  61.     separated by spaces.

  63.     The standard UNIX wild cards `*', `[]', and `?', along with the
  64.     negation operator `!', can be used as in this field (e.g.,
  65.     /bin/[ck]sh).

  67.     Real name
  68.  
  69.     You can use this field to find all users whose Real Name matches
  70.     this search criteria. Multiple names may be entered, but must be
  71.     separated by spaces.

  73.     Office
  74.  
  75.     You can use this field to find all users whose Office description
  76.     matches this search criteria. Multiple locations may be entered, but
  77.     must be separated by spaces.

  79.     Telephone
  80.  
  81.     You can use this field to find all users whose telephone number
  82.     matches this search criteria. Multiple telephone numbers may be
  83.     entered, but must be separated by spaces.

  85.     Logged in since
  86.  
  87.     Every time a user gains access to the system, the system date is
  88.     recorded. You can use this field to search for users based on the
  89.     time of their last system login on the local system. If the user's
  90.     date of last login is earlier than the date in this field, the
  91.     search will skip the user.

  93.     This field can be used in two ways. The first is as a static date,
  94.     where the date entered is the date used in the search. The second is
  95.     a relative date, against the system clock.

  97.     Not logged in since
  98.  
  99.     Every time a user gains access to the system, the system date is
  100.     recorded. You can use this field to specify a cutoff date the search
  101.     program will use to match users. If the date of last login of a user
  102.     is later than the date entered in this field, the search will skip
  103.     the user.

  105.     Password
  106.  
  107.     You must indicate which Password type is used in the search
  108.     criteria: Encrypted, Locked, or None. Any combination of one or more
  109.     of these three attributes may be selected (the default is all
  110.     three).

  112.     Buttons

  114.     This window contains the following buttons.

  116.     Execute Search
  117.  
  118.     Once you've selected your search criteria, click on the Execute
  119.     Search button. A User Query Results window appears with the results
  120.     listed. If you click on this button without filling in any of the
  121.     fields, all current users information will be displayed.

  123.     Then you can use the following options to act further on the
  124.     results:
